FIRST STEP: SELECTION OF EGGS FOR DYEING

1. In which color will I dye my Easter Eggs this year?
-If you decide to dye the Easter eggs in one color, and that is the traditional Red dye, it’s necessary the fresh eggs to select or buy dark (yellow) peel; In case the fresh eggs are home eggs you sort them in darker and brighter. The darker eggs you use for dye with Red color, and the brighter you use for the need of household.
-If you decide to dye the Easter eggs in more than one color, in that case you will need bright (white) and dark (yellow) eggs. If the fresh eggs are home eggs you sort them (in darker and brighter) because the brighter (white) eggs are for the lighter shades of color, while the dark (yellow) eggs are for the darker shades of color.

2. How many Easter eggs do I need or I want to Dye?
In average one housewife dye from 30 to 90 Easter eggs.
The tradition says: The first Three Red Easter Eggs are dyed in the early morning hours before the sunrise; So from there the minimum number of dyed eggs should be at least 30 eggs, but if you have a big family, big circle of friends or you have different artistically ideas, more desirable it will be to dye 3×30=90 fresh eggs.
But of course the most important and the most credible need it’s your assessment.
3. When should I buy or collect the fresh eggs?
-To get beautiful Easter eggs, it’s desirable to provide the eggs at least one week to 10 days before get dyed… The little secret is in the peel of the egg, during that week the peel of the egg survives curtain fasting and maturing, and their fat from the peel can come up to 70%. With that the peel of the egg will receive much easier the chosen dye, and the chance to crack the eggs during you boil them are very small.
