Eggs have the main role in the diet of people in the world, in countries that are in development and too in countries that are already well developed economically. They are an excellent source of quality protein.
After the first celebration we’ve seen a variety of events that have been organized internationally.
This 2016 we celebrated World Egg Day on Friday, October 14th.
To make that day more innovative of all, in the past there have been some interesting examples of how you can do it.
In some states have been organized events at schools and kindergartens. The goal is to educate children on nutritional benefits of eggs, through games, drawing and entertainment. As well as organizing donations, collection of funds that were later donated to events to help combat malnutrition.
Family festivals were held where there were a variety of activities, fun games for the whole family. In those festivals included games with drawing eggs, challenges by throwing eggs, competitions for recipes and cooking with eggs, a competition to find the best and fastest cook an omelet as well as music and entertainment tailored for all ages. Cookbook containing a large selection of delicious recipes where the main ingredient is of course the egg. As well as holding seminars for nutritional health benefits of eggs.
World Day of the egg from year to year is becoming better known globally as an event that promotes slow and informative events for all ages throughout the world.
